Jazz Combo/Quintet
In 2025 our combo groups had some jazzy fun during the year
which began in Auburn Hills, Mi as our jazz quintet and vocalist played
for a senior concert that consisted of various polka selections for a senior luncheon.
We also played again in Auburn hills with the quintet and vocalist for a holiday party later in the year.
Next again with the quintet In October we played a Magical Masquerade in Clarkston
In November the Jazz Trio played twice in Orion township for a holiday luncheon
For New Years Eve our Quintet ended the year of 2025 by playing a variety of jazzy tunes at a House Party.
We began 2024 playing a house birthday party in February near Lansing, we played 5 hours. The crowd loved jazz, and they were wonderful.
We next played three times in September of 2024, we played at a Roaring 20's Great Gatsby party in Clarkston, everyone was dressed up in 20's attire, it was great fun and we got to eat with everyone else. All of our jazz songs were from the era of 1920's and 1930's.
We then played at two senior centers one in Rochester and one in Westland. At both places we played an October fest program with a mix of polkas
and waltz's. Jerry who played sax on both gigs, sang several songs to the seniors who listened to our musical performances.
In December of 2024 we ended up the year by playing at a holiday house party, the owner made us feel like we were one of the quests at the party. It was a great time and two of our band members knew a few people at the party.
We began 2023 with the Quartet by playing in February of 2023 at the Addington Place in Clarkston for a dedication of a new building thattreats area residents with Dementia and Alzheimers disease. We played background jazz music for their celebration and the people we played for were very nice and accommodating.In May the Quintet played at the Inn of St. Johns again for the Community Choice Foundation. We played background jazzy music for this organization whogives scholarships to Graduating High School Seniors from very generous donors.In September the jazz quintet played at the Oakleaf Village Retirement Home in Toledo, OH for an outdoor Under the Sea Party. The celebration ended up being a combination of a concert and a party. Our listeners ended up being a great audience and we had several compliments on the music.On Nov 1st the jazz Trio played at the Detroit Golf Club for a Company Retirement.In December the Jazz Trio played two times. On Dec 15th the trio played at in Lake Orion Orion center to play for a Christmas Lunchon for Veterans.and on December 31st, the Jazz Trio played for a New Years Eve party at the Marriott in Auburn Hills. The crowd was in a party mood and enjoyed the music.
